As we all know, Sofia Coppola is one of the most talented filmmakers out there. All of her movies are quite wonderful; the highly acclaimed
Lost In Translation, the not so highly acclaimed but maybe even more beautiful
Marie Antoinette, which makes you want to dress up and drink champagne or build a little pyramid out of macarons, or her recent movie
Somewhere with darling little Elle Fanning. But in my opinion her very first and most underrated movie,
The Virgin Suicides, is still her best piece of work. I never thought somebody could capture the classic novel by Jeffrey Eugenides so well, and it's hard for me to decide whether I like the movie or the book best. The cinematography is so inspiring! But one thing's for sure: both the movie and the book leave you wanting more, more, more. So please give both of them a try, it's certainly worth it!
