I am Oak

Dutchies might know him already, I Am Oak, or Thijs Kuijken, he's a genius. His sound is very similar to sensitieve guy Erland Oye, This is a guy who makes you cry at his live performances (yes, he is soooo good live, go see him if you get the chance!) I wanted to blog about the new album for a while now. 

 'Nowhere or Tammensaari' is the first I am Oak album Thijs Kuijken made together with his band. The album is recorded in Finland, that's also where the title refers to. Tammensaari means 'Island of Oaks'. The special location and circumstances led to a more dynamic and darker album than before, without affecting the rich vocal harmonies and characteristic theme.
