Unicorn/dream magazine: your place to visit for dreams, life, photography, hand made crafts and a bit of vintage and fashion is back! Today we launched a new website (www.unicorndreammagazine.com) with a new simple design including a more visual content driven blog.
I'm delighted to announce that UnicornDreammagazine.com has re-launched after a 6 months silence due to personal circumstances of the team. After months of questions, feedback and suggestions of readers, we listened to all of you and created a re-designed website where we meet your wishes. Readers are still welcome to submit inspiration, photography, webshops or products. Looking forward to dream, inspire and promote again, the team is more than ever devoted to create a beautiful environment for dreamers alike.
The unicorn dream
Working towards the primary objective of becoming a destination site for global dreamy inspiration, Unicorn/Dream magazine quit the online magazine (at least for now) and is now focussing on the website itself. This makes it much more easy to publish more inspiration. Besides the daily updates the mag team still wants to work on larger productions like photoshoots, interviews and events, but this way it gives the team much more space.
The only thing I want to create is a beautiful, dreamy and creative inspiration environment via a website with a simple, girly look and feel. We don't necessary need to put the inspiration in a magazine, I think it's better to focus completely on the blog and have regular contributions with endless possibilities instead of working every week towards a deadline for the magazine which focus on the same inspiration but where everything has to work within the 140 pages. With my little team we can publish everything we want, the new website is our playground and gives us back the freedom we were looking for. The whole team is super devoted, but we still have to earn some money to eat and to heat our homes. With the devoted team, contributing in their own time and the importance of the visual content it's only natural for us to not publish a website full of ads. So for now we don't make a lot of money, and it's not on our prioritize list at the moment. If you keep that in mind, feel free to participate. We do have a few vacancies open, we're happy to add a few enthusiastic dreamers to our team. What will the future holds? In our wildest dreams we dream of a print magazine twice a year, which is more an Unicorn/Dream magazine inspiration book. So we don't say that we go never back to a magazine, but for now we focus on the blog. To celebrate this we'll have a celebration week with many many giveaways for you, the reader. We have a new giveaway every day, tons of new blog posts to come and lots of enthusiasm to create the dreamiest magazine again!
If you have submitted something for the magazine in the past few months, please send it again and we'll have a look at it. So sorry to everybody who didn't got a reply back to e-mails, wanting to submit something or wanted to know what happened to their submission. Words can't describe how sorry I am, as it was one of the most important things for us to reply asap to every e-mail we got, but sometimes life makes it hard to go on with your life the way it is. If you're not able to sit behind a computer it's logic to suddenly disappear and stop blogging without notice. Luckily it was for a short amount of time and we're happy and better again!
