This submission came in via e-mail and deserves a spot on the blog. We got in touch with Jessica and asked here to tell us a little bit more about herself.

I have found that over the years my style has taken a nostalgic approach. I love reflecting some part of history in my work, providing each story/editorial a strong foundation supported by imagination and creativity. There have been some elements of humor that I use to approach a sensitive subject matter allowing the viewer some entertainment while I expose my deepest thoughts. Color has always been very important to me as I came to love fashion photography through the loud work of David LaCapelle. Other influences are Irving Penn for his sophisticated understanding to composition, Paolo Roversi for his soft and beautiful approach to couture and Helmut Newton for his contribution of risqué fetishes to fashion photography. All of these men have invaded my imagination and although my work does not reflect them or even one in all of my work, I keep there ability to push forward and stay honest with me when I am creating. I am still growing and learning from all that this industry continues to offer us, and I hope that I can find my place in it soon.

This story is a reflection of letting go and the innocence of finding your way,  alone, for the first time. Normally I wouldn't choose for the framing, but I think it fits the series really well. Let's keep an eye on Jessica in the future, she has a growing, stunning portfolio!
