Hee ya, a new Sophia Coppola movie, The Bling Ring, did anyone see it already? It's not yet released here, but I know it is in the States. And actually I just don't know what to expect. It's not a film based on a book, but on true events. Which leaves, if I watch the trailer, less room for pretty, calm, image shots. And we probably all have seen the -Hermoine-tongue-dance-meme, which is kinda wrong. But I do think it's the right role for Emma Watson to put the Hermoine face off. And in a way, it's also again about teenagers getting lost (like they did in The Virgin Suicides).

"I didn't pay much attention when I heard about the case on the news," Coppola explains to the Guardian. "Then I read the Vanity Fair piece [The Suspects Wore Louboutins by Nancy Jo Sales] and saw the kids' quotes, and it sounded like it had the elements for a fun pop movie. I also realised that what they did really took some ingenuity. These young people actually figured out how to do this thing and they had the guts to go through with it. I don't know if an adult would have figured that out. But also there was a deeper layer there to do with looking at celebrity culture now."

The film the way I've seen scenes now reminder me of Spring Breakers, but correct my if I'm wrong, I can't wait to see the film myself! If you haven't seen the trailer yet, watch it here:
