It is easier to write on the floor than on a desk without soul, a desk is the most personal piece of furniture I can imagine - and hence, buying one needs to be a process of care, of thought, of trusting ones gut feeling. My desk might not do magic for you, and yours might not inspire a single line in me. For some, the best desks are vintage, with a lot of character and history. While for others a desk should mean a new slate, a white page waiting to be filled. Whatever kind of desk you are seeking, these should all be pleasing on the eye.
