Hello 2014! Really really looking forward to the next months! I have so much going on. I spent NYE in Stockholm, which was a bit quiet compared to Amsterdam, where it's a total anarchy with fireworks, screaming people and party people everywhere. Unlike everybody else (this year it really seems like the end of the year lists and resolutions started early December!) I just started this weekend thinking about my resolutions for the new year. And a few of them are especially about Unicorn/Dream. Are you ready?
+Blog more, more regularly. I do own some other blogs, where I do manage to post really regularly.
+A follow up to the previous resolution: I need to spend more time enjoying, taking off and taking the time to be inspired. 2013 was a really weird and busy year for me, where I didn't take enough time to explore the things I really love to do (besides work, or maybe even the inspiration I need for work). And I love to share these finds on U/D, which evolves in more posts. Win win!
+Share more of my travels. I do travel a lot and I do want to travel more this upcoming year. I'm sure Lene want to share some of her awesome Oslo/Berlin spots too, so we're all over the world!
+Automatically forward email to my other email addresses. I noticed when I was really busy (almost all months of 2013) I forgot to check in with the Uni email. So sorry for everybody that emailed, but maybe it's also a bit ambitieus to say to send everybody an respond. You send a lot of email, and I appreciate it all but maybe it's best to only respond to questions and other personal notes, instead of also respond to all portfolio submissions - it's simply impossible and ends with responding to nobody. This is one things that's really draining me and because of it I feel really sad, which also ends in ignoring everything. But managing a few blogs, starting up a business, being sick for months and trying not to computer 24/7 it's hard. But I'll try because Unicorn/Dream is my baby! Hmm, so fresh new year. From now on I'll try to respond to everything!
+Try to find some sponsors for the blog. This will make it easier spending more time blogging, as it will also pay for itself, instead of just costing lots of money. (well, you know, hosting, email addresses etc.)
+Finally complete the team. Working with a team is amazing, especially with all travellers, wondering around the world, ready to explore for the blog. I think all editors are really into travelling, and we have much more in common than we share on this blog. But I know lots of you want to blog for U/D too, and I haven't had the time to take a look to all of your emails (see above). So sorry, but it's really not you, it's me. Please email again! And the next few weeks I'll take a dive into the mailbox to reply.
+Meet more of you! In the early days I emailed, met and talked a lots to you! You are the inspiration, I loved working with you. Most of you have Etsy shops, design, blog, take photographs or write yourself, and I'd love to bring that a little bit more to the blog. Remember the interviews I did before? Maybe they'll make a come back in 2014. Who knows. Share your ideas in a comment or send an email to love@unicorndreammagazine.com
+Work on my special project, launching this summer! It's really interesting for all of you and I cannot wait to share it with you.
+My dreams? Ofcourse, an app, creating an magazine again and more collaborations. The first two are a matter of time, If I have the time I can create these. Number three is also a matter of time, but more a time issue like.. I need to make time for this. I really should. Just drop a line and say hi and maybe you're the first!
Hmm, and these are just my first thoughts. I'll think about more plans and dreams the upcoming days, and maybe i'll do a follow up post later this year!
